Mauritius

I don’t think this place is for real.

It’s an island nation located in the southwest Indian Ocean near Africa.

First off, it’s the only known home to the Dodo. (I was unable to find any recent photos of the Dodo, when I go to Mauritius I will find one an take a photo.  I don't believe they are extinct.)

Secondly, colored earth. Thirdly, it’s gorgeous and I could live there forever.  Fourthly, I read some stories about a stone boy on a hilltop and it turns into a real boy with magical powers once every 50 years

Once Upon a Morning

Once upon a morning I held a kitty cat photo shoot, my subjects were uninterested.

Once upon a morning I ate a multicolored apple.

Once upon a morning I studied for a math test.

Once upon a morning I drank coffee out of a Snoopy mug.

Once upon a morning I found a lotion I've never seen before.

Once upon a morning I read the greatest book by the greatest authors known to man.

Fanged Pumpkins

When I first saw this photo I thought to myself, 'this has got to be Martha Stewart.'

And of course, they are.  The tiny fanged pumpkins are my favorite, and they are so easy to make!

According to Martha, all you need to do it print out this mouth template, lay it on the pumpkin and dot on the lines with something pointy, and then cut the pumpkin and remove the gross stuff.  Then you just wedge the teeth into the hole.  For the eyes she says to use pin map tacks, but I'm sure something else can be used.  And of course fangs can be found at Party City, Walmart, Target..

I'm so excited to make these!  I just need to find a crafting buddy.

Planetarium

Last night, for part of my oceanography lab, I went to the planetarium at my school.

I always feel so safe and comforted inside of planetariums.
As the name suggests, it's like being inside of an aquriuam in space.

Walking in, it feels like your at sea world, it's cold and dimly lit and feels like you're underwater.

The reclined seats, the only thing that could make them better would be to add massage functions, but I think that's out of the budget.
During the presentation, when the stars move, I like to pretend I am on a spaceship.  I'm a 5 year old.

I could stay in the planetarium for days just sitting in the seat and watching the stars soar past me.

Say hello to mister Leo and Monoceros, my favorites for obvious reasons (my zodiac and unicorns)

Moeraki

Moeraki is a tiny fishing village located in New Zealand (in which where the Hobbits roam? Maybe? No? Okay)
Moeraki is famous for the Moeraki Boulders.  It’s said that the boulders were originated on the sea floor; in simplest words, they were formed the same way a pearl will form.

I prefer to think they are alien evidence.

The edits on these photos are all so amazing.  Each one makes boulders look like the would belong in completely different worlds.

Reutlingen

Most places I want to travel to I find my accident.
This is no exception.
Reutlingen is a city located in Germany (Baden-Württemberg to be more exact)

Inside this city there is a street called Spreuerhofstrasse.
Do you know what this street is, other than impossible to pronounce?
It is the narrowest street in the world, coming in a whopping 31 centimeters in width.

Lovely Saturday

Today has been such a productive, simple, and beautiful day.

It was only 73 degrees outside and sunny all day.

I wrote a speech, did a bunch of school assignments, cleaned a little, at pizza which my brother made, spent quality time with my cats, ran 4 miles, and just enjoyed the day.

I wish I had my camera with me so I could of photographed it.

Sandra Diekmann

Sandra Diekmann is amazing.  I've seen her illustrations before, but have never known who they belonged to till today.  There are no other words needed.

Stairs

In all of the houses I've lived in, my stairs have always been plain, boring, ordinary.
Next time I have stairs I want fun ones like these!
And maybe a slide?
